Cedar Falls Channel 15
During the summer of 2014 I completed an internship with Cedar Falls Cable Division Channel 15 as a Production Assistant. During that time I was offered the part time position as a Production assistant for the City News segment. I created 30 minute weekly City News Segments, with my co-host, where we focused in on community events, city projects and programs along with several human interest features. Every other week I was the main anchor for the Segment. These segments were aired 6 times a day with a new episode released on Friday nights every week. As a production assistant I am contracted to work with sporting events for surrounding high schools and the University of Northern Iowa, events we covered are Football, Basketball, Softball, Swimming, Volleyball and Wrestling. I have operated Camera Positions such as Crowd Camera, Game Camera, Shoulder Camera and Slash Camera. I have also worked in the control truck as a Score Bug operator. We also filmed City Council and City Planning and Zoning meetings, where I have operated the Close Up Camera and also the Live Web Feed Operator.
I was able to meet many people through this experience but two of the main people I had the honor of filming was The President of the United States, Barac Obama, when he stopped in Cedar Falls, Iowa to talk about the Fiber High Speed Internet and his plans for Net Neutrality and his State of the Union Address plans. "President Obama" button below will take you to the video clip. Along with the operations manager from Google when Cedar Falls was announced Googles E-City of the Year for Iowa "Google E-City" button below will take you to the video clip.
I created the introduction video for Channel 15's Holiday Hoopla segment, where I was also a co-host for the segment. "Holiday Hoopla Into" button below will take you to the video clip.
